Anthony Joshua and tyson Fury could still face off this year 2020 despite the coronavirus pandemic across the world, MySportDab reports.
According to ESPN, Talks about a massive world heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are officially underway.
The British rivals hold every major heavyweight belt in the division and were expected to finally fight later in 2021.
But with the coronavirus pandemic affecting both Joshua and Fury’s next fights, discusssions about a December showdown are now finally underway.
Tyson Fury was set to fight Deontay Wilder in a third round bout in Las Vegas this summer, having defeated him twice before.
Wilder exercised a clause in the contract to activate the trilogy fight, but ESPN claims that he would be paid-off in order to forget about revenge.
MySportDab understands that Fury’s advisers, MTK are in negotiations with Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, due to a ‘disagreement’ between the Matchroom Boxing chief and Frank Warren.
The offer for Wilder to forget about a third fight against Fury would have to be a large sum worth paying the stubborn boxer.
However, Anthony Joshua was meant to fact Kubrat Pulev and defend his WBA, IBF and WBO belts against at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June, but the fight has been postponed until further notice.
Many hoped that Joshua could face the Bulgarian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July, but it all remains unclear.
Asked about a fight against Joshua in Saudi Arabia, Fury told ESPN: ‘I will surely fight in Timbuktu if the money is right. I have a bag and am ready to travel.’
