Phil Foden scored a brace as Manchester City thrashed Brighton and Hove Albion 0-4 at the Amex Stadium, MySportDab reports.

The clash was a one way traffic as the Champions made sure they scored at freewill with the Seagulls failing to make anything happen.

The victory made sure City narrow the gap between them and Arsenal with one point and one game at hand to play.

The visitors came in strong without Erling Haaland taking part in the match which saw him being ruled out earlier with a muscle injury.

Manchester City took the lead in the 13th minutes which saw Kyle Walker setting up Kevin de Bruyne who beautifully tucked the ball inside the net to make it 0-1.

Brighton and Hove Albion were wasteful which lead to them conceding another goal in the 26th minutes through a freekick from Phil Foden who was able to make things 0-2.

Foden linked up with Bernardo Silva in the 34th minutes of the game to make it a brace for himself as things between both teams later increased to 0-3.

Manchester City took a comfortable 0-3 lead against Brighton and Hove Albion after 45 minutes of action which was played between the both of them for the night.

There was more which came to play from both teams in the remaining 45 minutes of action which had more goal being scored.

Brighton and Hove Albion did well enough holding on and tried making something happen which did not come for them as the game carried on.

Julian Alvarez made it 0-4 for Manchester City in the 62nd minutes which saw Kyle Walker making the assist which was his second for the night.

The game was completed with Manchester City making sure they claimed a 0-4 victory against Brighton and Hove Albion which drew them one point behind Arsenal and a game at hand.
