Ghana SACK National Team Coach After AFCON23 EXIT!

Ghana have sacked their national team coach Chris Hughton after crashing out of the AFCON 2023, MySportDab reports.

The Black Stars of Ghana were disappointing during their time at the AFCON 2023 which they couldn’t make anything much happen.

They have decided to sack Chris Hughton after picking up just two points from three games which put them in no position of advancing.

Their chances of making the round 16 is likely impossible to happen which have led to them making a decision moving forward.

They made it to the AFCON with so much expectations for them to go far and possibly winning the title for themselves.

Things did not work out so well for them as their opening game exposed everything which they couldn’t make much happen.

They went on playing a 2-2 draw against Egypt who from their end managed to qualify as second place in the group stages.

Ghana last game against Mozambique was expected to be the one they win with ease and book their place into the next round.

Things did not turn out well as they threw away a 2-0 lead in the added time of the match which saw them playing a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.

According to reports reaching us from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed Ghana have decided to sack Chris Hughton from his position as their coach.

“The Ghana Football Association have announced that head coach Chris Hughton has been fired.

They will announce a new coach in the coming month after the conclusion of the AFCON tournament.

Ghana are already out with them on two points and stand no chance of advancing as best losers on 3rd position.
