Tottenham Ace Mousa Dembele Injured Until 2019 (Details)

Tottenham have announced that midfielder Mousa Dembele would not play until 2019 after a damage in his right knee.

Dembele sustained the injury in Tottenham's 3-2 win over Wolves on Saturday, having to be replaced after only seven minutes.

The Belgian missed Tuesday's Champions League clash against PSV and is expected to be out until 2019.

Tottenham wrote on Twitter:

"TEAM NEWS: @mousadembele(ankle) - scans have confirmed ligament damage to right ankle and is unlikely to be available until the New Year."

"We hope that from the beginning of January he will be ready," Pochettino said on Thursday.

"It is always about the patience, how he is going to react to the injury but we hope he is going to be ready by the early January.

"We always miss all of the players when they are injured. In 13 days we have played five games, every two and a half days we are competing."

Dembele will now miss the Champions League matches against Inter Milan and Barcelona.

He will also miss the matches against Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League, including December's Carabao Cup clash against the Gunners.
