Manchester United legend David De Gea has yet to find a new club after leaving Manchester United 10 months ago, MySportDab reports.

The entire 2023/24 football season in Europe has met the legendary shot-stopper off the field with no offer.

Nevertheless, the 33-year-old is optimistic of returning to the pitch again for competitive football.

In recent footage posted on his social media hand, the Premier League and Europa League winner hinted on making a comeback.

With footage of him on a solo goalkeeping drill, he wrote, “I’ll be back.”

Now, he has been seen in another footage still on solo training as he doubles down on his attempt to return to competitive action.

De Gea saw his 12-year stint with Manchester United come to an end last summer following a dragging contract renewal process that was doomed.

He was reportedly handed a new contract extension with reduced wages which he signed before the signed contract was withdrawn by United for a further reduction of the wage offer again.

He was presented with the second offer with the wages pecked down again, and he refused to sign it, drawing the curtain on his 12-year spell with the club.

After his infamous Man United exit, he was linked to several top clubs in Europe but nothing materialized.

Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, and Inter Miami in the MLS, were some of the clubs linked to the player.

Sources close to the De Gea revealed he refused to broker contracts with some of the major clubs due to irreconcilable differences during talks.

Despite the deadlock, the legendary goalie is still hopeful of returning to action. He is currently linked to a return to LaLiga where he began his career with Real Betis reportedly interested in his services.
