Wilfried Zaha Absent From Crystal Palace Kit Launch Amid Transfer Rumours

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha was absent from the club's kit launch today amid links of a transfer move to Arsenal, MySportDab reports.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to secure a deal for former Manchester United forward Zaha this summer after the player revealed his intention to play European football next season.

Crystal Palace have now hinted that the 26-year-old will not play for the club next season despite Arsenal’s failure to match their valuation of the Ivory Coast international so far.

The Eagles released their new Puma away kit on Thursday which went down well with supporters, but the absence of Zaha did not.

Although the former England international is currently in Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations, if he was likely to remain at the club then photographs could’ve been taken prior to his departure.

Zaha made his desire to join the club that he supported as a youngster clear last month while his brother asked Palace to respect his wishes.

A £40million bid from the Gunners was subsequently rejected with Palace asking for no less than £80m.

In another transfer twist, Zaha hit out at the current speculation by shutting down a mystery source.

“Whatever happened to speaking facts?" Zaha questioned on Saturday.

“It’s sad and annoying how anyone will just open their mouth and speak on things or situations they know absolutely nothing about.”

Zaha has helped his country towards the quarter-finals in the competition, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Mali in the last-16, and will hope to be amongst the goals again when Ivory Coast face Algeria today live right now.
