Manchester United have released an official statement concerning Lisandro Martinez’s injury, MySportDab reports.

The player was confirmed to have been injured during the game played against West Ham United.

Manchester United have given the full details concerning Lisandro Martinez’s injury which is a bad one for them.

Erik Ten Hag earlier confirmed the injury wasn’t looking good and was expecting to get full details later.

The medical team at Manchester United has done the needed checkup and official statements have been made concerning the result.

The statement coming out of Old Trafford isn’t good as they will be missing the player for two months before his return.

Here Is What Was Said:

“Lisandro Martinez has sustained an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his knee and is expected to be out of action for at least eight weeks.

“The Argentine defender left the field in the 71st minute of our 3-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

“We all wish Licha a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the pitch later in the season.

Lisandro Martinez recently returned from a long spell injury which he has barely played much this season.

Things are not looking favorable for the Argentina defender who is now set for another spell recovering from an injury he sustained.

Manchester United will be without Lisandro Martinez for another eight weeks which will be a total of two months recovering.
