Girona thrashed Real Madrid 4-2 in a laliga match which saw the Champions unable to make any statement, MySportDab reports.
Valentin Castellanos scored four goals in the match helped his side demolished the Champions of Europe.
First Half ReportÂ
The game started well with Los Blancos coming in with so much hope of narrowing the points between them and Barcelona.
It took Girona 12 minutes to score the opening goal of the game which came through from Valentin Castellanos which made the scoreline 1-0.
Real Madrid were stunned and couldn’t hold calm before the lead doubled with another goal from Valentin Castellanos in the 24th minutes making it 2-0.
Vinicius Junior pulled one goal back in the 34th minutes of the game to make the scoreline 2-1 between both teams as they carried on going forward.
The first half came to an end with Girona taking a 2-1 lead into the break against Real Madrid who couldn’t make anything happen from their end to level things.
Second Half ReportÂ
There were a lot of hopes from the visiting fans who felt their side could make a comeback in the encounter as they move on.
It wasn’t finished yet as another goal from Valentin Castellanos made it 3-0 and a hat trick for the Girona player who became a nightmare in the 46th minutes.
Real Madrid were very poor unable to make anything happen as they pushed on with Valentin Castellanos breaking them down once again for his fourth goal and scoreline 4-1 in the 62nd minutes.
Lucas Vazquez was able to narrow down the scoreline with another goal in the match which came from the away side in the 85th minutes making things 4-2.
Girona ended the match with a 4-2 victory which meant Real Madrid hopes of catching Barcelona go down to the gutters as they were unable to narrow things down.
