Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has issued a strong warning to Arsenal players ahead of the crunch Premier League clash against Manchester City today, MySportDab reports.

It will be a blockbuster clash as Arsenal square up against Manchester City at Etihad in a game that has been tagged a ‘Premier League final.’

 

Arsenal are curently top of the Premier League table with 75 points from 32 games while Manchester City has 70 points from 30 games.

Trailing the Premier League leaders by five points despite having two outstanding matches, Manchester City will hope to defeat Arsenal and have more control of the title race when they host the club at Etihad.

If Manchester City win today’s game, the Premier League title race will be summarily closed.

The match will have a huge bearing on who emerge as the Premier League champion at the end of the season hence Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is not taking the game for granted.

Speaking ahead of the crunch tie against Manchester City, Mikel Arteta sent a string warning to Arsenal players, threatening to “kill” any player who will turn up nervous on the pitch against Manchester City.

“Non of my players must be intimidated by the challenge. They need not be and if they do, I will kill them because I don’t want that at all.”

“The level of this match demands absolute perfection in every single ball and we have to deliver that in our performance.

“Going toe-to-toe with City has been great but it’s not enough and now we are in this position we are going to win it.”

Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pepe Guardiola has also reiterated the prepared of his players for the encounter which will decide the Premier League winner.

The match kicks off 20:00GMT and 8pm Nigeria time.
