Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp Reacts After 2019 Club World Cup Victory

Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he was on the edge as Liverpool battled Flamengo to win the 2019 Club World Cup, MySportDab reports.

Roberto Firmino scored the only goal to ensure Liverpool secured the trophy after over 90 minutes of intense football.
For defeating Tottenham in the Champions League final in June, Liverpool booked their spot at the tournament.
Despite being named as favourites, Liverpool were made to work very hard for their wins in the semi-finals against Montenegro and in the final Vs Flamengo.
Firmino could have scored in the second-half but wasted the opportunity as his bouncing volley hit the bar with Flamengo goalkeeper Diego Alves unmoved.
But the Brazilian corrected his errors during the first half of extra time and gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead which proved crucial.
However, Klopp has now admitted he was delighted to add another medal to his list of accolades.
Klopp said: “It is fantastic. The game was very intense but in moments like I don’t even know how to describe my confidence in the boys.
“It was an incredible game, a quality performance against a strong opponent. We were all in suspense but I was still impressed by some great individual performance.
“I think we worked very hard the win, we were dominant and better. It’s the first experience of winning it. I was previously asked how I had feel to win the tournament and now I can say it’s a great feeling.
“Firmino scored a crucial goal which is very important for him and to us. Both sides suffered tonight but maybe at extra time we were far better.”
Liverpool winning the 2019 Club World Cup means they are only the second English club to win the trophy after Manchester United in 2008.
