After Manchester City finally landed the European title that had eluded them for so long under Pep Guardiola to win the treble, the Premier League champions are battling to win it again.

However, they face massive competition from the best teams around the continent, and it will take a challenging feat to win the Champions League in consecutive seasons.

Football fans worldwide place bets on who they believe will lift the famous piece of European silverware every year, but it can be challenging to call.

We will look at who could be crowned European champions this season.

Manchester City

With Erling Haaland leading the attack, City heads into games with a massive chance of scoring and winning virtually every time they play.

The Premier League side won four opening group games to qualify for the knockout rounds with two games spare.

Considered one of the best teams on the planet right now, they have a strong chance of recording consecutive Champions League victories. They would undoubtedly cement their place in the football history books if they manage it.

Bayern Munich

The German giants are another side who won their four opening group games to qualify for the next stage of the competition easily.

Like City, they, too, have a top attacker in Harry Kane, who can score goals for fun no matter the opposition.

With the England frontman leading the line, the Bavarians will be confident they can claim Europe’s top prize again after winning the tournament back in 2020.

Real Madrid

Hala Madrid are European football royalty and have won the Champions League more than any other club, having lifted the title 14 times.

That’s reason enough for the Spanish side to feel assured in the competition, but what’s more, they are an excellent outfit managed by the legendary coach Carlo Ancelotti.

They, too, secured their passage to the knockout stages after only four games and will feel they have the quality to go all the way in the tournament.

If you are wondering which team to back to be successful at Wembley in June 2024, you must check out the Champions League odds, compare and assess the group stage standing, and form tables.

Paris Saint-Germain

PSG are the top club in France right now, but the Champions League is the trophy they are desperate to land. Despite having Kylian Mbappe at the front, the team from the French capital continued to fall at different hurdles.

The closest they came to winning Europe’s Premier club competition was in 2020 when Bayern defeated them, and they will be eager to reach the showpiece again and have another go at finally being the kings of the continent.

However, they are in a tricky group alongside Milan, Dortmund, and Newcastle, so there’s no guarantee they will make the knockouts this time. PSG should have enough to progress, but at the same time, it’s a complex group, so wins are not a certainty.

Barcelona

Barcelona are synonymous with the Champions League in the 21st century in particular.

Lionel Messi may have left the Nou Camp, but the Catalans are still one of the top sides in Europe and are in the driving seat in Group H. Facing Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk and Royal Antwerp, it would be a major shock if they managed to lose their grip on the top two places.

It’s hard to see past Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in this season’s Champions League.

However, teams like PSG and Barcelona boast enough talent to lift the famous trophy at the end of the season. Bettors should thoroughly research and stay updated to make sound bets on the Champions League.
