PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi has now confirmed the club’s interest in signing Manchester United player Marcus Rashford, MySportDab reports.

The Manchester United academy graduate is now close to entering the final six months of his contract.

According to reports, United want to keep Rashford at thile club with a bumper new contract.

However, the club and Rashford are yet to agree terms on a new contract till today, which means he can leave for free next summer.

Now, Al-Khelaifi has confirmed that PSG will be interested in signing the 25-year-old, if the opportunity arises for a potential transfer in 2023.

‘Rashford is fantastic and for free? Every club will want to get him,’ Nasser told Sky Sports.

‘Definitely, we’re planning secretly. We had talks once, was not the best time for both sides. Maybe next summer. Why not?

‘We’re not talking to them now, so they can focus on the World Cup.’

Rashford is currently playing for England at the World Cup, after being named in Gareth Southgate’s squad.

He has continued his club form in Qatar, scoring in England’s opening game 6-2 win over Iran before two more goals in their 3-0 win against Wales.

United are keen to keep their academy graduate, with 101 goals in 322 matches.

Rashford wants to stay at the Red Devils but negotiations have mot progressed for some time and potential clubs are ready to sign him.

Also, United have the option to activate their 12-month extension option, so he would have to stay for another year.
