Atletico Madrid have confirmed Antoine Griezmann joins them on a permanent deal, MySportDab reports.
The France International has been playing with Atletico Madrid from a loan move which was signed with Barcelona who wanted to clear their wages.
Antoine Griezmann was one amongst the highest earning players with Barcelona which prompted to them setting up a move which will see him leave on loan.
The move to Atletico Madrid has been one which had another complications attached to it as his parents club were eyeing a possible fee of €40 million which Atletico Madrid weren’t looking to pay.
During the early days of the 2022-23 season, Griezmann was a subject to only playing just 30 minutes in a match as his current club were not looking to activate a clause which was on their agreement with Barcelona.
Barca did threatened to sue them in cover over them failing to materialize on what they did discussed before allowing the Franc International to return to his former place of career.
Everything has since been resolved with the move now official between both sides who have dealt with their differences in making sure an agreement is reached.
Atletico Madrid took to social media to make the official announcement of them completing a move for Griezmann.
The new contract will see Antoine Greizmann remain with Atletico Madrid until 2026 which is a four years contract.
They also completed an agreement to pay Barcelona €20 million with addon of €4 million which makes the total deal €24 million.
The deal is one which took a lot of internal talks as it was complicated at first before everything was resolved with Barcelona.
Antoine Griezmann is now a full time player with Atletico Madrid now using him more than 30 minutes like they did when everything was still complicated.
