Manchester United have now submitted an offer to the representatives of midfielder Christian Eriksen, MySportDab reports.

Eriksen will become a free agent when his contract at Brentford expires at the end of June.

Now, United Coach Erik ten Hag is interested in signing the player to provide more options in midfield.

The Dutch manager wants to sign the 30-year-old as an addition to the squad with no transfer fee needed to be paid by the club.

At Euro 2020, The Danish midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest but returned back to English football at Brentford in January.

He scored one goal and provided four assists for Brentford in the Premier League season in 11 matches.

Manchester United were closely monitoring Eriksen’s progress and liked his performance.

Now, According to The Athletic, Ten Hag wants to sign Eriksen as a free agent and bolster his midfield for the 2022-2023 season.

Eriksen today confirmed that he has received offers for many clubs but is yet to make a final decision.

He said: ‘I have many offers, I’m considering them, so I can make a decision.

‘Playing in the Champions League again is a lot of fun but it’s not a necessity for me.’

Manchester United could get Eriksen back on the European stage as they qualified for next season’s Europa League.

However, the Red Devils still face competition from other Premier League clubs interest in Eriksen.

Tottenham are currently doing everything possible behind the scenes to re-sign the Danish international.

Spurs have an advantage after qualifying for the Champions League ahead of Arsenal.

Spurs Coach Antonio Conte previously worked with the midfielder at Inter Milan and would love a reunion in North London.
