Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw against European Champions, Paris Saint-Germain in a hard-fought pre-season encounter which saw Bryan Mbeumo continue his goal scoring form.
It was a good game for the United team who are expected to play in the UEFA Champions League this new season. Also for PSG it was a good test for them as they did well unlike their previous game which was a massive loss.
The encounter was evenly match with the European Champions having to adjust a bit playing against a United side who came to also get a result.
Just as it was looking like an evenly balanced game, Paris Saint-Germain scored in the 2nd minute through a stunning goal from Ibrahim Mbaye, which made it 0-1.
Manchester United immediately commenced chasing the game after seeing themselves go down very early in a match that was looking like they had control.
The game was competitive as many fans would expected despite the huge difference between both teams currently. Both sides did well defending as they weren’t letting anything go past them while the game progressed.
Manchester United saw Heaven received a yellow card in the 16th minute after a foul which the referee wasn’t pleased to see happen in the match.
PSG maintained dominance at some point while they look to increase their advantage which was 1-0. No goal happened with half hour played between both teams.
The Premier League club were able to get themselves back in the game after Bryan Mbeumo scored a beautiful goal. The Cameroon international leveled things 1-1 in the 32nd minute as things pushed on.
There was no room for errors after the leveler which saw both teams doing well enough to aviod what would have seen them gone behind in the match.
Paris Saint-Germain and United had moments, but no scored as they finished the first 45 minutes with the scoreline staying 1-1 between them.
There was definitely more work needed as both teams came in for the second half looking to make sure they get the victory or at least give their fans a wonderful game.
The encounter pace wasn’t there like it was in the first half as both teams did make some changes to their team to allow other players get some minutes since it is a friendly match.
There was nothing much that happened aside the opportunities which kept on coming and they failed to finish them off leaving the scoreline the same 1-1.
PSG came close at some point with close opportunity which they just needed a good touch to make it count, but it was still same story of no proper final execution.
The match did came to an end with Manchester United holding the European Champions to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes which saw some good football being played from both ends.
Luis Enrique would take this result as a positive one, knowing how their previous game went without a number of their key players who are yet to report for training.
United are the side who would see this one as a big win and massive boost as they might be facing the same team again if they are draw in the same group for the Champions League.
Both teams put in so much efforts for this encounter which could have gone either way. PSG and Manchester United will carry on with what is left of their preseason before the League season officially kicks off.
