Marco Asensio and Benzema scored as Real Madrid overcome VAR drama to beat Eibar 2-0 to move second on the League table, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was a first half encounter filled with drama as VAR ruled out goals before the home side were able to get one recorded.
Karim Benzema thought he gave Real Madrid an early lead in the 5th minutes only for his goal to be ruled out.
Eibar conceded yet another goal which came in the 37th minute scored by Asensio but still it was ruled out by VAR.
The Spain International finally scored another goal in the 41st minutes which made it 1-0 for his side.
The game progressed without a goal as the first half of then encounter ended with Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar as they both headed for the break.
Second Half Report
The second half wasn’t that bad in the early stages which we saw some good opportunities coming from the two teams.
Eibar were solid at the back which was a good thing as they were able to deal with all threats thrown by the home team.
Real Madrid continued to dominated the game and created most of the opportunities which couldn’t be converted into a goal.
Karim Benzema scored in the 73rd minute of the game to give his side an extended 2-0 lead with a fine finish from the Frenchman.
The match came to and end with Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar as they claimed a massive three points which sees them move second with 3 points below table leader.
