Harry Kane scored as Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw against Southampton who had one player sent off, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was evenly balanced as it reflected on how the result was after 45 minutes of football play between them both.
Southampton starting the game good as they were able to control how things progressed against their opponent who came in the encounter looking to win.
It was going well for Tottenham until 25th minute which saw James Ward-Prowse scored a stunner which gave the Saints a 1-0 lead against Spurs who were unable to stop the goal.
Things carried on with the visitors trying to make a immediate comeback which failed to happen as it was looking good in terms of ball possession for them but scoring wasn’t easy.
Mohammed Salisu was shown a second yellow card in the 39th minute of the encounter which saw his side being reduced to 10-man leaving them to finishing the game with a disadvantage.
Harry Kane equalized for Spurs in the 41st minutes after scoring from the penalty spot which saw his side coming back to make things 1-1 as it was looking good for them.
The first half didn’t provide much action as it ended with Southampton 1-1 Tottenham which saw them both heading inside for the break after 45 minutes played.
Second Half Report
The second half kicked off with Spurs having the advantage of a man up against their opponent who couldn’t keep calm resulting to a send off.
Tottenham dominance continued as the game progressed further with them finding a way they could take the lead which didn’t happen despite all their efforts in doing so.
Southampton continue to hang on with hopes of them keeping things the way it was after seeing Harry Kane second goal ruled out by VAR in the 53rd minute.
Nothing happened as they both ended the match with a 1-1 result which saw both Southampton and Tottenham settling for one point each after 90 minutes.
