Naomi Osaka has won the 2021 Australian Open title after winning in straight sets against Jennifer Brady to claim her second Australian Open, MySportDab reports.

Osaka is now the first woman since Monice Seles to win all four of her first Grand Slam finals.

She defeated Jennifer Brady in 77 minutes to secure the Australian Open title.

The 23 year-old, born in Japan was always the favorite to win after she defeated Serena Williams in the semi-finals.

Osaka has now won a record four of the last six Grand Slam tournaments to show her dominance in Women’s Tennis.

Her opponent, Brady was locked up in her hotel room for two weeks before the tournament started.

She was among the 72 Tennis players in full quarantine after a passenger tested positive on her flight.

Windy conditions made it difficult to gather a crowd at the Rod Laver Arena.

Speaking after her victory, Osaka said: “I want to use this opportunity thank my team, this is for you.

“Lastly thank you to you guys. Thank you for coming out and watching us play. This really means a lot. Thank you very much.

“Thank you for everything towards us. I have the feeling of playing at a Grand Slam is now a privilege, and thank you for this wonderful opportunity.”
