Newcastle are ready to try and sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the upcoming summer transfer window, MySportDab reports.

The Magpies are preparing a £26m bid for the mdfielder, who has also been linked with Manchester United.

Rabiot has failed to win a place in the Juventus first team since his move to Italy.

He was highly rated at Paris Saint-Germain, when he  broke into the team at just 17.

He became a very important midfielder for Unai Emery’s team but was barely used by next coach Thomas Tuchel.

After refusing to sign a new contract deal last season, he was demoted to training with the youth team by PSG which made him leave.

Manchester United and Barcelona were interested but he decided to join Juventus.

He signed a four-year contract last summer to begin his life at the Old Lady but has failed to secure a first team spot under Maurizio Sarri.

Rabiot has started just 11 Serie A matches in his debut season Italy and also reports suggested he was on strike due to wages disagreement last week.

Rabiot denied those reports, but he will now be offered a way out of Juventus with Newcastle.

Newcastle are preparing for a busy summer, as their £300m bid takeover is set to be completed.

Once the new owners come in, they are expected to spend big, and it appears Rabiot is one of their first targets.

MySportDab understands Newcastle have already started negotiations with Juventus and have also offered Rabiot a contract.

Newcastle offered him a pay rise and a fee of £26m to Juventus.

Manchester United are also likely to show their interest in the former PSG midfielder in the summer transfer window.
