Manchester United Legend Dimitar Berbatov has urged Jadon Sancho to snub a summer transfer and stay at Borussia Dortmund, MySportDab reports.
20-year-old Sancho has been linked with a £100million transfer to the Premier League this summer.
But United chief Ed Woodward has warned that big-money transfers might not happen due to the coronavirus pandemic impact.
However, Berbatov, who played at Manchester United for four years, believes Sancho may not get first team football at Old Trafford and should spend another season in Germany.
‘Sancho is fantastic, he has scored 14 goals and 15 assists, it is stunning,’ Berbatov said.
‘It says everything about how he is developing, the goals, the passing, the speed. He is not a selfish player; With 15 assists it must be because you are not always too eager to score alone.
‘I don’t think now is the right time for him to join Manchester United, I have said it before, I have my doubts because at United there are players like Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.’
‘It’s very good to have competition in the squad but I think he would want to play every match when he moves but rotation applies at Old Trafford.
‘Due to different factors, you can’t be sure a player will play, but I think that big money signing, he would like to play.”
