Manchester United Hit With Rasmus Hojlund Fitness BLOW After Scan

Manchester United are set to sweat with Rasmus Hojlund fitness issues for months following MRI scan, MySportDab reports.

The fast-rising Danish striker is said to have suffered a stress fracture following MRI scan, according to Daily Mail.

This means he will have to battle for his fitness for weeks before returning to full fitness.

Holjund reportedly exhibited a fitness issue referred to as ‘stress response hotspot’ – a kind of stress fracture that is typical to teenage and young players between the ages of 17, 18, or 19.

A player who suffers from the incident is said to be experiencing high pressure on his or her young muscles due to excessive workload link to regular training and fitness exercises.

When a player test positive for stress fracture, the usual recommended remedy is for him or her to stop training and allow his muscles and skeletons relax for full recovery.

If the player continues in his or her regular rigorous training and exercise schedule, he could complicate the condition by putting more pressure on the skeletons and may likely affect the spinal cord.

Following the scan result, Rasmus Hojlund will reportedly need two to three months to fully recover.

Also, it has been confirmed he can make an appearance for Manchester United as the Premier League kicks off but the club has to manage the issue delicately to avoid complications.

The club will proceed with caution by only bringing him on as substitute in matches until his full recovery or starting and then substituting him off later in matches.
