Their relationship ended in January 1996. Some reports have claimed the breakup stemmed from Arnetta’s reluctance to sign a prenuptial agreement ahead of a planned marriage.
However, neither Arnetta nor Shaquille has publicly confirmed this claim, so it should be regarded as speculation rather than fact.
Six months after their split, on July 18, 1996, Arnetta gave birth to their daughter, Taahirah O’Neal, in Orlando, Florida, making her Shaquille’s first child.
