Barcelona have eased FC Copenhagen to seal their place in the 2025–26 Champions League league-phase top eight, eventually securing automatic qualification for the competition’s round of 16, MySportDab reports.
The La Liga champions went into the game, sitting outside of the top eight and needed victory in this final round to break through.
FC Copenhagen was no tough opposition for the La Liga giants and anything less than victory would have been an upset.
As expected, Hansi Flick’s charges didn’t disappoint, but had to fight hard in the second 45 to secure the maximum three points.

Against the run of play, Copenhagen raced into the lead just four minutes into proceedings, courtesy of Dadason’s strike.
The goal was enough to send the Danish side to the break with a lead as Barcelona failed to find the equaliser.
However, the hosts reserved their comeback for the second half, putting three past the visitors to overturn the result.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for the home side just three minutes into the restart, thanks to Lamine Yamal assists.
Exactly at the hour mark, Lamine Yamal got the Catalans in front with a beautiful strike before Raphinha made it 3-1, converting from the spot nine minutes later.
Five minutes before regulation, Marcus Rashford netted his fifth Champions League goal for the team, making it 4–1 before the final whistle.
The win has seen the team climb and finish fifth in the standings, booking their automatic to the round of 16, while their rivals Real Madrid missed out following a shock away defeat to Benfica.
