Manchester United Take Drastic Jadon Sancho Transfer Decision

Manchester United have taken a drastic decision to settle the prolonged transfer saga engulfing one of their out-of-favour wingers Jadon Sancho, MySportDab reports.

Sancho has now ran out a year-and-a-half of his Man United contract on loan to different clubs. He spent the second half of the 2023-24 season on loan at his former club Borussia Dortmund and was on a season-long loan spell to United’s domestic rivals Chelsea last season.

It’s evident the English winger’s future lies away from the Old Trafford club with new manager Ruben Amorim not willing to work with the player.

With the transfer window winding down, the Premier League giants are now desperately looking for any – loan or permanent – exit solution for the player.

They accepted a £20m loan bid with a buy option from Roma, but the latter couldn’t settle personal terms with Sancho.

According to close sources, Roma wanted a significant slash in the winger’s £250,000-per-week wages but met a stiff opposition from the player.

In the wake of the setback, United have now urged the player to find a solution to his imminent exit from the club before the transfer window closes as he remains out of Amorim’s squad plans for this season, Fabrizio Romano reports.

Notably, it is the second time Sancho’s ‘high wages’ has hindered his transfer exit from Man United this summer. MySportDab understands Chelsea were open to a permanent deal for him after his optimal loan spell but couldn’t agree wage terms for the transfer to materialize.

He is still expected to leave before the transfer window closes with a number of clubs reportedly interested in his services.
