Mason Greenwood has moved to block the LaLiga from investigating his verbal row with fellow England national Jude Bellingham during a LaLiga match, MySportDab reports.

Bellingham allegedly mouthed slurs on the Man United laonee during Real Madrid Vs Getafe LaLiga clash in February, 2023, leading to an official complaint by Getafe to LaLiga.

It all began after Jude Bellingham lunched a wild tackle on Mason Greenwood during the match and forced the all out of play.

Apparently unfazed with Bellingham’s wild tackle, Mason Greenwood grew furious after walking away but Bellingham seem to mutter a slur on the player.

In a footage which made the rounds on social media, fans claim Jude Bellingham was calling Mason Greenwood a rapist.

The LaLiga confirmed they have received a formal complaint from Getafe of the alleged verbal abuse by Jude Bellingham and will act accordingly by employing a lip reader to dig out what Belligham actually said.

Now, according to reports from the Sun, Mason Greenwood has made a move to stop further proceedings by LaLiga against Jude Bellingham after the fallout.

Sources close to the player, as disclosed by the report, say Mason Greenwood want the proceedings quashed as he is not intent on having the countryman punished.

The report adds Greenwood was not happy with the situation with Bellingham but did not want a bad publicity as he wants to get on with his game with Getafe without unnecessary interferences.

It is understood Greenwood’s intervention may do little or nothing to affect the case as LaLiga have begun proceedings to the effect.

Jude Bellingham is currently sidelined due to injury and could be suspended from action by LaLiga if found guilty after probe.
