Nigeria Super Falcons advance into the final round of Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers after beating Cameroon 1-0 in Abuja, MySportDab reports.
The game was filled with a lot of intensity and cagey display coming from both teams who had a lot to play going forward.
Esther Okoronkwo scored the only goal which pushed the Falcons into the next round which they are expected to take on another formidable opponent.

They both came in prepared for the second leg of the Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers match after they drew goalless 0-0 in the first encounter.
Cameroon Women did well enough holding down play and pushing forward against the home side as they did not come to defend or play second best for the match.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria did well enough ensuring there was nothing that caused trouble while they also did come forward to almost scoring very early.
The objective came in the 14th minute after a scramble inside the box saw Esther Okoronkwo get her debut goal making things 1-0 for the Falcons who continued pressing.
There was so much that could have doubled the advantage but it did not happen as Nigeria headed for the break with a 1-0 advantage against Cameroon after 45 minutes of action played.
The second half was more cagey with both teams ensuring they locked things up at the back and pushed forward plotting something to give them goals.
The opportunities were surplus from both teams who came close but their finishing wasn’t just good enough to make anything much from their chances.
The game continued with a lot more being played while the referee added four minutes more between them as Cameroon Enganemben Annie was shown a red card.
Nigeria finished the match with a 1-0 victory against Cameroon meaning they will wait to see their next opponent which could be South Africa ahead of the final round for the Paris 2024 Olympic games.
