Vinicius Jr bagged his first El Clasico hat-trick as Real Madrid demolish Barcelona to emerge winners of this year’s Spanish Super Cup, MySportDab reports.

Real Madrid got off to a
fiery start against the La Liga champions. Vinicius Jr proved too dangerous for Barcelona’s defense to handle. The Brazilian split open the Catalans’ backline with ease to hurl in goals for the Los Blancos.

It was a shocking and disappointing start for Barcelona as they struggled to match the pace and crackling offensives of Real Madrid.

Just seven minutes into the game, Jude Bellingham set up Vinicius Jr for the curtain-raiser. The former Borussia Dortmund star located Vinicius Jr with a perfect throughball splitting through Barcelona’s defense.

Receiving the ball, Vinicius Jr paced fast into Barcelona’s box, came one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and comfortably beat the goalie to easily volley home Real Madrid’s lead.

Barcelona made prompt attempts to level terms but ended up exposing their defense to Real Madrid’s scissor-edged and precise attacks.

Three minutes after taking the lead, Los Blancos roared back again with another goal. It was Vinicius Jr again on target. The La Liga title hopefuls perfectly worked their way into Barcelona’s box before having Rodrygo teed up Vinicius Jr with a cross. Vinicius again slid the cross into the back of the next to bag his brace and make it 2-0 for the Los Blancos.

With just 10 minutes into the game, Barcelona saw themselves trailing the arch-domestic rivals by tow goals. In the 33rd minute, they fought their way into the game, reducing the deficit with Robert Lewandowski’s strike. With the finer score margin, Barcelona hoped to level the score and possibly pull a comeback, but Real Madrid came back roaring again in the 37th minute and it was Vinicius Jr again with his third goal and first El Clasico hat-trick.

The Brazilian sensation nailed home Real Madrid’s third from the spot after they were awarded a spot-kick

The first half ended with Real Madrid leading 3-1. Barcelona did little to mount a response even in the second half. They were dealt a final blow when Rodrygo made it 4-1 in the 64th minute.

The Catalans struggled to establish their presence in the game going forward and were set for a second El Clasico defeat this season after a home league defeat at Estadio Olimpico.

In the 71st minute, they were reduced to 10 men after Ronald Araujo bagged his second yellow card and was sent off.

Real Madrid leveraged their numerical advantage to dominate proceedings with their comfortable 4-1 lead but could not add to the tally.

The game ended with Real Madrid smashing the La Liga rivals to emerge winners of this year’s Spanish Super Cup.
