Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are interested in signing out-of-favor Man United center-back Raphael Varane, MySportDab reports.

Varane retired from international football in February 2023 to focus on his club career.

Since joining Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2021, the French footballer has been integral to Man United squad.

This season, Varane lhas played second fiddle to Harry Maguire and is struggling to return to the starting berth.

He has made just 8 appearances for the club in all competitions this season with Harry Maguire gaining the trust of the ten Hag.

Amid Varane’s dwindling fortunes at Manchester United, he has been linked to Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants are reportedly interested in a move for the player as they consider him key to the defense plan.

Varane had remaining on his Manchester United contract. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will sanction a possible transfer exit for Raphael Varane.

Erik ten Hag still considers the French footballer key to his squad plans despite his slack in form.

With key United defenders sidelined, Raphael Varane still remains relevant for the Dutch and may likely return o his starting role ahead of Maguire.

Maguire suffered similar fate last season when he rot on the bench while Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez marshalled Man United center-back roles.

With the former Man United skipper now top his game at Old Trafford, Raphael Varane could possibly be eyeing a move to Bayern Munich to restore his career.
