OMG! Soa Tome Women Withdraw From Clash Vs Super Falcons

Sao Tome and Principe women have withdrawn from their clash against Super Falcons of Nigeria, MySportDab reports.

Sao Tome and Principe Vs Nigeria was expected to go down during the international window for Women football, but it won’t be happening.

The women side of Sao Tome national women team have decided not to play against the Super Falcons as earlier expected to see happen.

The game was to be a two legged affair which suppose to be a qualifications match for the Women’s Africa cup of Nations.

Players have already been invited to camp ahead of the clash which was expected to happen during the week.

A 24 name was released earlier with them all expected to hit camp for preparations for the encounter.

The first leg of the match was supposed to happen in Nigeria at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena before traveling to Sao Tome for the second leg.

According to the reports reaching MySportDab, it has been confirmed that the Sao Tome and Principe women team have pulled out from the match.

The reason for the withdrawal is still yet unknown to the media as an official letter is also being awaited to be received by the football body.

With Sao Tome pulling out of the game, the Super Falcons will face off against Liberia or Cape Verde who also have a game to play.

Meanwhile, there is no confirmation if the Super Falcons will open their camping or instead go for holiday during the period.

Nigeria Super Falcons are expected to make it through into the WAFCON and reclaim their title in 2024 which is currently occupied by South Africa.
