It was another nightmare for Chelsea fans and Graham Potter as new loan signing from Atletico Madrid Joao Felix bagged a red card on his Chelsea debut against Fulham, MySportDab reports

The Atletico Madrid and Portuguese star was sent off after a reckless studs-up challenge on Kenny Tete in the 53rd minute.

Joao Felix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in a £9million loan deal and was phenomenal for the team in the West London Derby before he met the marching orders in the second half.

The 23-year-old will now miss the next three games following the red card, and his absence will be a big blow to the Blues who just signed him till the end of the season.

The Blues dominated the game and were the better side all through before Joao Felix’s red card reduced them to 10-men, giving the host a one-man advantage.

Fulham galvanized on the home and one-man advantage to inflict more damage to Chelsea’s struggles this season as they secured a 2-1 win over the Blues.

Former Chelsea player Willian opened the scoring for Fulham before Kalidou Koulibaly equalised for the Blues in the second half.

After Joao Felix was red-carded, Vinicius headed home a cross from Andreas Pereira in the 73rd minute to return to the lead.

It was another nightmare for Chelsea, who have now managed just one win in the last eight matches in all competitions.

They are now miles away from the top-four race and have been ruled out of the Premier League title race.
