Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez in a private civil ceremony in Portugal, bringing another major chapter to their relationship.
The couple, who began dating in 2016 after meeting in Madrid, shared a photograph on Instagram showing their wedding rings following the ceremony in Cascais, a coastal resort town west of Lisbon. Their five children were also present for the occasion.
Ronaldo, 41, has enjoyed an extraordinary career with Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr and Portugal, scoring close to 1,000 goals.
The wedding comes just four days before Al Nassr begin their 2026-27 Saudi Pro League campaign, with Ronaldo preparing to continue his career under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
The Portuguese superstar recently featured at his sixth World Cup, matching Lionel Messi’s record for the most appearances at the men’s tournament. Ronaldo has since confirmed that the 2026 edition was his final World Cup.
Despite the disappointment of Portugal’s campaign, Ronaldo has refused to make an immediate decision on his international future. He said he wanted time with his family before deciding whether to continue representing his country.
Ronaldo will be 43 when the 2028 European Championship takes place, but for now his attention turns to family life and another season with Al Nassr.
