Novak Djokovic Wins 7th Wimbledon Title! (Details)

Novak Djokovic has won his 7th Wimbledon title after beating Nick Kyrgios today, MySportDab reports.

Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 (7-3), coming from behind after losing in the first set.

It was a dramatic display when Djokovic was overpowered by his determined opponent in the first.

The Australian looked set to land his Wimbledon title, but Djokovic returned stronger into the game.

The second set started with Djokovic quickly taking a 4-1 lead, but the second set finished with the Serbian winning 6-3.

The third set was a bit dicey as the Australian opponent pulled and dragged Djokovic to a 4-4 tie.

The fourth set was the decider set when the Serbian leveraged on his experience to win 7-3.

After winning his 7th Wimbledon title, he congratulated his opponent for a strong showing, ”Nic, you will be back, not just in Wimbledon but in finals.”

Djokovic described the loss by his opponent as a tough one after a brilliant showing. He wished him the best, stating his respect for the Australian.

“I really respect you a lot, you are an amazing talent, and now everything is starting to come together for you. I never thought I would say so many nice things about you considering the relationship. Okay, it’s officially a bromance.”

: “Yeah he is a bit of a god – I’m not going to lie,” he said. “I thought I played well. First of all congratulations to Novak and your team. You’ve won this Championships that many times I don’t even know any more.

Djokovic thank everyone – the umpires, ball kids and the fans for their after lifting the trophy.

Djokovic is lifting the Wimbledon trophy for the seventh time and has expressed his happiness for this impressive feat.
