Since his move to Paris Saint Germain, he has been unable to make things happen as he use to in Spain.
Lionel Messi has been rumored to return to Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window.
The President of Barca has had so much to say concerning a possible return for the legendary player who is currently struggling.
Nothing yet has been confirmed about his return, but he could be on his way back to the club where he played all his career.
Paris Saint Germain is not saying anything as the player still has a contract with them that can’t be terminated.
Barcelona’s president has so much to say concerning a possible return which was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
Here Is What Was Said:
Barcelona president Joan Laporta tells @rac1:
“I’ve received no message from Messi or his agents over a possibility of returning to Barcelona”.
“As of today, we are not going to be raising this issue”, Laporta added.
Lionel Messi himself has not closed the door of returning to Barcelona as he has been told by Xavi Hernandez.
The Argentine was forced to leave Spain after the club failed to register his new contract due to financial problems.
He had no choice but to leave after seeing off his remaining months left on the contract playing for Barcelona.
Things might be clear for him to return, but they won’t be looking to offer him the kind of contract he earns with Paris Saint Germain.
No other club has made their interests known by signing Lionel Messi in case he decides to leave Paris Saint Germain.
A move back to Spain is on the table but it all depends on how things play out and if the player will be looking at a lower salary.
