Angola booked their place in the AFCON 2023 quarter-final after beating Namibia 3-0, MySportDab reports.

The match saw both teams getting a red card each in what was filled with drama from both ends of the pitch.

Gelson Dala’s brace was the highlight of the encounter which saw him making sure he helped his country to the next round.

It was an engaging game from both teams who did well enough to ensure their opportunities came in folds but only one side could convert.

Angola started well going forward before thing went bad as Neblu was booked and sent off immediately resulting to the side left with 10 players.

Namibia couldn’t make use of the one man advantage as they conceded in the 38th minutes through an outstanding goal scored by Gelson Dala to make it 1-0.

The game continued with the Namibians also getting a red card which was given to Haukongo after receiving his second yellow in the 40th minutes.

Gelson Dala scored his brace and increased the lead for Angola who went into the break taking a crucial 2-0 lead against Namibia who had themselves to blame.

The second half came to life with more coming from the Angolans who made sure it was a well prepared encounter they ease through.

Namibia still couldn’t find a way in the match as they continued pushing from behind and trying to see what they could make happen from their end.

Angola increased their lead in the 66th minutes which came from Mabululu who was able to ensure things became 3-0 as they continued going forward.

The game came to a conclusion which saw Angola making it into the next round after making sure they smashed Namibia 3-0 to wait on their next opponent for the quarterfinal.
