UEFA has officially released its shortlist for the 2020-21 UEFA Goal of the Season award, MySportDab reports.
Paul Pogba, Dele Alli and Patrik Schick are all included in the shortlist by UEFA.
The award, given for the best goal in any UEFA competition during a season, has been won by Ronaldo or Messi in four of the last five seasons.
However, Ronaldo and Messi fail to make it into UEFA’s 10-goal best award for the 2020-21 season.
Paul Pogba was part of the France team that crashed out of Euro 2020 in the Last-16 against Switzerland but he scored a good goal in the match.
After a shot by Benzema was blocked by Arsenal star Granit Xhaka, the ball fell for Pogba, who controlled the ball, and scored a rocket into the top corner.
Two other goals at Euro 2020 make it to UEFA’s list of nominees, including Schick’s long-range goal against Scotland.
Patrick Schick ran onto a loose ball in the match against Scotland at Euro 2020 and scored a stunning goal from the half-way line.
Italy Star Lorenzo Insigne is also included in the shortlist by UEFA for his Euro 2020 goal against Belgium in the tournament Quarter-final.

Two goals from the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League feature in the new shortlist by UEFA.

Sarah Zadrazil’s goal in the Women’s Champions League Semi-final match for Bayern Munich against Chelsea also makes the list.
