Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is ready to return back to football management, MySportDab reports.

He is ready for his next job and that could now become a serious problem for Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Argentine has been without a job for almost a year, after he was sacked at Tottenham in November 2019.

Pochettino made his first public appearance at Sky Sports Monday Night Football Studio with Dave Jones and Jamie Carragher.

He was following the Leeds vs Leicester City match.

After he was introduced, Pochettino immediately made it clear that he was ready to return to management.

He said: “I am always ready to be in the game because I love football very much. It’s not a stress for me. It’s not a stress to return back to the training ground.

“I am ready to being involved in the match again. I love the match and it is difficult not back yet.

“We are working, doing a lot. But it’s not the same as being with a job every single day, with your players, staffs, with the club.

“You miss it a lot. That’s the football reality.”

Over the last 12 months, Pochettino has missed out from some top jobs across Europe.

Mikel Arteta was appointed at Arsenal, Carlo Ancelotti was given the job at Everton, Hansi Flick won the Champions League at Bayern Munich.

Andrea Pirlo was handed the Juventus job and Ronald Koeman appointed at Barcelona.

All of these jobs have gone past Pochettino by and the Manchester United link won’t go away.

After the sacked of Jose Mourinho in 2018, Pochettino was among the names included for the United job.

The United hierarchy are fans of Pochettino since his arrival with Southampton in 2013 in the Premier League as he helped Spurs to reach the Champions League final.

However, Ed Woodward has committed to Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s project.
