Harry Kane goal wasn’t enough to help Tottenham who lost 1-2 to Newcastle United in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both teams started the game well pushing for an early opener which didn’t come with them doing so well with their defending in the encounter.
Newcastle United were not that bad in making sure they make enough trouble, but it wasn’t just good enough to make anything happen in the encounter which carried on.
Tottenham approached the half hour mark with the scoreline still goalless between them as only few opportunities was seen between them and still unable to hit target.
The opening goal of the game happen in the 31st of the game which saw the away side making it 0-1 through a goal from Callum Wilson who wasted no time in making it count.
Miguel Almiron increased the lead to 0-2 in the 40th minute of the game making the match go far away from the home team who couldn’t make anything come to reality.
The first half ended with Newcastle United taking a 0-2 lead into the break against Tottenham after 45 minutes of football played between them which didn’t provide anything.
Second Half Report
The second half was a hard one for Spurs who were hoping to make a comeback which unfortunately didn’t get to happen despite all the attempts coming from them.
Newcastle United continued from where they stopped as they hope to add another goal which will just kill off any attempts from their opponent to make a comeback.
Tottenham pulled one goal in the 54th minute of the game through Harry Kane who made sure his finishing was perfect as the scoreline turned 1-2 with so much left to be played.
Nothing else happened despite all the pressure and attempts as the game ended with Newcastle United taking a 1-2 win against Tottenham which send them into the top four.
