Groupe Amaury, the organizers of Ballon d’Or Award, are planning a major overhaul of Ballon d’Or award in 2024, MySportDab reports.

2024 Ballon d’Or event will take a rather new shape as the organizers of the award are plotting a major shake-up of the premium football event to make it even more spectacular and glittering.
The current nomenclature of the award as designed by the organizers has no category to honor the most performing national team and club managers but that will change in 2024 edition.
UEFA have confirmed they have stepped to partner with France Football and L’Equipe – the two football magazines that organizes the award – to make it much bigger and more encompassing.
A press release by UEFA confirms the European football governing body will take over organizing the Ballon d’Or gala and also join hands with the group as marketing and commercial partners to make the award more inclusive.
As part of the deal, two new award categories will be introduced into the award ceremony – Best Men’s Coach of the year and Best Women’s coach of the year.
The current Ballon d’Or categories are Men’s Ballon d’Or, Women’s Ballon d’Or, The Yachine Trophy for Best Goalkeeper, The Kopa Trophy for Best Young Player, The Socrates Award for humanitarian projects, the Gerd Muller Award for Best Striker, and the best national team and best club of the year award.
The addition of Best Men’s Coach and Best Women’s Coach will take Ballon d’Or award categories to 10 categories.
The voting format for the award is untouched by the partnership with nominees with highest votes winning the award.
