Victor Osimhen was on target as the Super Eagles of Nigeria claimed a 3-2 victory against Tunisia, MySportDab reports.
The victory ensured the round 16 ticket was delivered ahead of their final round of games in the group stages.
First Half Report
Both national teams came into the match having won their opening game to secure three points each for themselves.
It was a bit one sided as the Super Eagles dominated play and made it hard for their opponent to operate freely.
Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock after his flying header in the 44th minute thank to a wonderful delivery from Ademola Lookman to make it 1-0.
Second Half Report
The second half saw a lot happen before Wilfred Ndidi 50th minute goal with assist from Ademola Lookman which made it 2-0.
Ademola Lookman was able to get his goal with a beauty in the 67th minute which saw assisted by Victor Osimhen to make it 3-0.
Talbi pulled one goal back with assist from Mejbri in the 74th minute which saw things became 3-1 as the game carried on.
Abdi converted from the penalty spot in the 87th minute but it wasn’t enough as Nigeria claimed a 3-2 victory against Tunisia to qualify for round 16.
