Barcelona officially confirms the arrival of new signing Karim Adeyemi who completes his move from Germany club, Borussia Dortmund this summer window.
The La Liga Champions completed the deal for the German international which is structured around a €29 million total package, including performance-related add-ons.
The 24-year-old attacker has put pen to paper on a long-term contract running until June 2031, tying his future to the Spanish champions. Karim Adeyemi reacted saying: “Hansi Flick is the main reason why I’m here.
“I’ve spoken a lot with him and have trusted him greatly from the very first moment. I’m willing to help to achieve the objectives”.
The arrival of the former Red Bull Salzburg standout addresses the need for attacking reinforcements following the summer departures of veterans and loan players like Marcus Rashford.
Manager Hansi Flick, who famously handed Adeyemi his senior international debut for Germany in 2021, strongly advocated for the move.

During his four-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, Adeyemi made 146 appearances across all competitions, netting 36 goals and providing 25 assists.
His standout moments include helping Dortmund reach the 2024 UEFA Champions League final. Last term, despite navigating minor fitness hurdles, he managed 10 goals and six assists in 39 matches, displaying the explosive speed that terrorized Bundesliga defenders.
Tactically, the addition gives Barcelona a dynamic runner who thrives in transition and stretches opposition backlines during games.
While established figures like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha hold prominent roles on the flanks, Adeyemi joins fellow summer arrival Anthony Gordon in adding profound depth and directness to the squad.
