Elliot Anderson officially completes his permanent move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City today after his return from the 2026 FIFA World Cup with England national team.
The Premier League giant has officially wrapped up one of the most prominent deals of the summer window, securing the English midfielder for a staggering £116 million fee.
The 23-year-old England international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, making his switch to the Etihad Stadium official following his exploits with the national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The blockbuster transfer shatters City’s previous club record, overtaking the £100 million paid to Aston Villa for Jack Grealish back in 2021. Anderson arrives in Manchester after establishing himself as one of the brightest talents in the Premier League.

He further noted that the club provides the ideal environment for a young player to elevate their game and compete at the absolute highest tier of European football.
The midfielder is currently taking a well-deserved three-week break following his international duties before reporting to Manchester to begin training.
