AFCON25: Egypt 0-0 Nigeria, Super Eagles Win Bronze Via PENALTY! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Egypt 2-4 via penalties to win the AFCON 2025 bronze medal, MySportDab reports.

Both teams held each other to a draw as Paul Onuachu Goal was ruled out by VAR in the first half of the match.

First Half Report 

It was a massive third placed match between both national teams who lost their semifinal games against Senegal and host Morocco.

The Super Eagles made a lot of changes with their team which did not included Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.

Things progressed until a goal from Paul Onuachu in the 36th minute which was ruled off by VAR for an offside position.

Egypt did well enough as the scoreline stayed goalless between them after 45 minutes of action on the pitch.

Second Half Report 

They resumed with more action and opportunities which came for both teams, but none of them could make anything count.

The 90 minutes came to a conclusion with both sides unable to make anything happen as they headed directly to penalties.

Penalty Report 

Dele Bashiru missed the first penalty, but thanks to Stanley Nwabali saving two penalties, the Super Eagles of Nigeria were able to beat Egypt 2-4 to win AFCON 2025 third place.
