Alexander Isak’s transfer drama has taken a drastic turn for the worst with Newcastle United at the receiving end, MySportDab reports.
The prolific Swedish forward is a top attacking target for Premier League champions Liverpool who are ready to go all out for him.
MySportDab understands Newcastle United, having secured Isak’s services for the next two years, are not ready to let go without a fight.
They have slammed a ludicrous £175m price tag on him to deter Liverpool who are also ready to bid in excess of £100m.
This week, Liverpool are expected to submit this offer to the Magpies to speed up their move.
Notably, the Merseyside outfit has the support of Isak who has reportedly agreed personal terms with them and has hand in a transfer request to Newcastle United.
He is also missing from Newcastle United pre-season squad with the head coach Eddie Howe reportedly unpleased with the the player’s nuances.
Now, according to Indykhaila News, Isak’s transfer drama has taken a further toll on the order in Newcastle United’s dressing room.
The report claims Newcastle United senior players feel disrespected and unhappy with the former Real Sociedad striker and want him to be sold.
However, some players are reportedly in support of the player and pray the club to allow him leave if he so desires.
Eddie Howe is also furious with the club’s handling of the saga and wants it sorted out in time to save the team.
It is yet unclear how this will develop further. However, Isak is likely to have his wish granted as the Tyne-based outfit can’t keep a player who doesn’t want to play.
They are expected to agree terms with Liverpool and plough from the potential British record offer to sign his replacement.
