This award crowns the Portuguese’s near-magic strides in the dugout as Wolves manager since he assumed the reins midway into the season.
Wolves were reeling and teetering on the edges of the relegation zone before Vitor Pereira took over as manager, and since then, the story has been different.
Under Pereira’s watch, Wolves’ Premier League fortunes changed drastically from a team battling relegation to a formidable squad safe from the drop zone this season.
He has won 12 of his 22 matches as Wolves manager, drawing three and losing seven. This impressive stat has been enough to turn around the fortunes of the team.
Pereira’s sensational managerial stats with the Molineaux-based side peaked in April when he led the team to a run of perfect results in the month.
He opened his campaign in the month with a 1-0 home win over West Ham United. This was followed by a 2-1 away win over Ipswich in the second match.
In the third game against Tottenham Hotspur at home, he secured his third straight win, defeating the London side 4-2. This was followed by a statement 1-0 win over Manchester United in the fourth match.
He then rounded his terrific ride in the month with a thumping 3-0 victory over Leicester City. These unlikely results have seen him beat the competition to emerge as the best manager in the month.
The 56-year-old has no doubt proven his capability and is already among top managers in the English top flight to reckon with come next season.
