Liverpool have plotted a shock move on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract amidst uncertainties surrounding the player’s future, MySportDab reports.

Trent has seven months left on his contract and renewal talks have been underway but no agreement has been reached yet.

Liverpool are interested in keeping him but are stuck on agreeing new wage terms for the player.

The England right-back earns £180,000 weekly and has pushed for increased wages as part of terms for a new deal.

According to The Sun, Liverpool were open to an improved offer for Trent Alexander-Arnold but not to the extent of upsetting the club’s pay order and unsettling the dressing room.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has been running out of his contract with top Football Clubs leading the race to sign him at the end of the season.

Now, according to TRBFootball, Liverpool have made a U-turn on their decision on Trent’s contract. They are ready to make him the club’s highest-paid player if he signs a new deal.

Real Madrid and PSG are leading the list of top clubs interested in the services of the England star and are monitoring the contract situation with Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the footballer has been optimistic of his future at Liverpool despite not penning down a new contract with his current deal running out.

With the Reds’ new offer, the footballer is likely to commit to a new deal and extend his stay at the boyhood club. He has made 325 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 19 goals with 83 assists.
