FT: Chelsea 4-2 Gent, Renato Veiga STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Chelsea kicked off their Conference League campaign with a 4-2 victory against Belgium side Gent, MySportDab reports.

Both Renato Veiga and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored their first goal since making their move to join the Premier League side this summer.

It was light work for Enzo Maresca’s side who dominated all through the game with some incredible masterpieces of football.

First Half Report 

It was a solid start which saw ball possession from the Blues who immediately stamped their dominance from kickoff.

Gent had so much work to do as they were being pushed around in every possible way by the non-stop of of attacking.

Chelsea continued getting things done until Renato Veiga made it 1-0 in the 12th minute which saw things turned around.

The goal couldn’t have happened if not for the brilliance of Mykhailo Mudryk who was able to deliver an outstanding cross as an assist.

The game failed to produce any goal despite the opportunities which saw Chelsea staying on with a 1-0 lead heading into the break against Gent.

Second Half Report 

The action from the second half was more with the Blues continued entertaining their home fans who came out in numbers.

Pedro Neto made it 2-0 for Chelsea in the 46th minute after a wonderful play that saw Axel Disasi making the assist.

Gent pulled one goal back in the 50th minute through a header from Tsuyoshi Watanabe which was assisted by Andri Gudjohnsen to make it 2-1.

A smashing goal from Christopher Nkunku in the 63rd minute with an assist from Renato Veiga made things between them 3-1.

The game carried on with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall adding another in the 70th minute which made things 4-1.

The away side pulled another goal back in the 90th minute through Omri Gandelman who got assisted by Max Dean making it 4-2.

It was a good game in which Chelsea took all three points kicking off their Conference League campaign with a 4-2 victory against Gent at the Bridge.
