Sources close to the player revealed he has finally communicated his decision to leave to the club’s hierarchy with the club making effort to find his replacement and also restructure the team.

Real Madrid are looming large in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe with recent reports linking Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal to the player as well.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta have refused to rule out a move for Kylian Mbappe but have not disclosed candidly they are in the race for the player.

Despite interests by the two Premier League clubs, Real Madrid are still leading the race for Kylian Mbappe given their competitive edge and strong appeal for the player.

However, the balance of power in the race for Kylian Mbappe could take a twist with Manchester City reportedly in the race to sign Mbappe.

According to Spanish outlet Cadena SER, Manchester City officials had secretly contacted one of Kylian Mbappe’s representatives on an informal capacity on Monday for a possible move for the player.

The Premier League and European champions are said to be interested in signing the player but are keeping their push low-key.

It is understood Kylian Mbappe wants a competitive football project to paraglide his career to higher levels hence his decision to leave PSG.

Real Madrid still remains the biggest football project in Europe, simmering with young exciting talents. However, the entrance of Manchester City into the race could be a deal breaker as the club is also the best and strongest team in Europe.

With City and Real Madrid set to rub shoulders for the services of the French footballing sensation, Mbappe’s decision will play a big role on his next destination.
