Manchester United are set to miss three key players as they prepare for a busy week this campaign, MySportDab reports.

United will trade tackles with Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup 5th-round fixture today before a trip to take on cross-city rivals Manchester City at the Etihad in Premier League matchday 27 cracker.

Speaking in Nottingham Forest’s pre-match press conference, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag confirmed the team will miss three key players ahead of the doubleheader against the Tricky Trees and Manchester City.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, ten Hag said Harry Maguire has been sidelined ahead of the Nottingham Forest game.

He also added the duo of Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes are likely to miss the match as well.

The various injuries that must have plagued the three players are still yet to be determined as the Dutch did not open up on their conditions.

However, they must be struggling with fitness issues after the Premier League defeat to Fulham.

Harry Maguire started and played the full 90 minutes against Fulham, scoring United’s only goal of the game.

Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes were also in action for the Red Devils as well. Late in the game, Bruno Fernandes held up his legs and appeared to be in extreme pain but continued play.

The Portuguese was later slammed by Man United fans for feigning injury to win empathy after the loss to the Cottagers.

While Maguire has been confirmed to be sidelined, Fernandes and Varane are still doubts for the Nottingham Forest match, as per Ten Hag.

This means the pair could return to the starting lineup if they recover from their fitness worries before the match.

United will hope to return to winning ways against Nottingham Forest and book a place in the FA Cup last eight after the loss to Fulham.
