Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has signed a new contract with the club until 2023, MySportDab reports.
The 31-year-old was set to become a free agent at the end of the season but United triggered a 12-month clause in his contract.
‘I’m happy that I will stay at this great club,’ Matic said.
‘As a footballer, I still have more to give and achieve in my football career and doing that with Manchester United is a huge honour.
‘This is a great team to be part of, we have a nice balance of youth and experience in the squad.
‘This is a very crucial part of the season and we are doing very well. We will continue our fight to finish the season and make our fans proud.’
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added: ‘I am delighted that Matic has signed a new deal, I love his experience, leadership and professionalism.
‘We have impressive quality in midfield and Nemanja is a key part of that.
‘Matic has been here for three years now and truly understands everything about playing for Manchester United.
‘He is ambitious and determined which is key as we look to achieve our goals in the coming years.’

Nemanja Matic has previously attracted interest from the US and Italy, but always wanted to stay at Old Trafford.
The former Chelsea man has played 114 matches since he signed for United in a £40m transfer in 2017.
