Wenderson Galeno late goal saw Porto beat Arsenal 1-0 in the Champions League knockout first leg in Portugal, MySportDab reports.

Both teams had so much on their end that could have made the difference but they couldn’t make anything much.

It was a close call between both teams who had their moments until a late goal scored by Wenderson Galeno helped the home team.

They came in good with a lot to play on the pitch which was tactical from both managers who wanted to take caution.

Porto did well enough with them holding on to the home advantage knowing the second leg won’t be an easy one to happen in England.

Arsenal did well in their play they held the ball with more composure and pushed through with enough power up front.

The game was close between both teams who struggled to make the opportunities come and whenever they saw any, it wasn’t working out.

Porto and Arsenal couldn’t make anything much as they held each other to a 0-0 goalless 45 minutes of action which had opportunities but not a goal.

The second half was still close between both teams who traded with caution when going forward to avoid casualties along the way.

Arsenal players were focused and did what their manager instructed when they were inside the dressing room after the first half.

Porto did fantastic as they continued the game pushing with everything and not allowing themselves to be taken for a ride on their home ground.

The game was still goalless with nothing much except just missed opportunities which they could have converted and changed the whole situation on the ground.

Wenderson Galeno scored an exceptional late goal which saw the match coming to an end with Porto beating Arsenal 1-0 ahead of the second leg in England.
